Super 8 by Wyndham St. Ignace

The hotel staff was very personable. The rooms were clean and spacious with nice view of the Mackinaw Bridge and Lake Michigan. Continental breakfast was; waffles, cereal, muffins, Danish, bagels, bread, yogurt, mini quiche and packaged (2) hard boiled eggs. Along with coffee, tea and juices offered.

Beautiful views from our first floor balcony room. Every single staff member we encountered were absolutely wonderful. Hotel is dated but very clean. Pool was warm and clean. Breakfast was well stocked… bagels and toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, doughnuts and a waffle maker (my personal favorite). Multiple options of coffee creamer and available at all hours, even had seasonal favorites like pumpkin spice as it was early fall. Bed was perfect for me… I prefer the softer over firm, my fiancé is the opposite. We have always stayed on the south side of the bridge and have never been impressed… rude staff, subpar accommodations at best and dishonest business practices. This Super 8 couldn’t be further from those experiences. Thank you for winning us over to not only to your hotel but also the north side of the bridge. Not sure when we will be back up this way but we will definitely be staying here when we do. Well done Super 8 St Ignace, well done!

First time staying at a Super 8 as an adult and it happened by accident. We originally booked at another motel. However, the room looked like there had been a mosquito massacre in it all over the walls and ceiling, so we left unsure of if we'd get our money back. We didn't want to destroy our budget and the closest hotel to it was Super 8. Then, we figured how incredible the view must be from their water front rooms so we popped in to check out a room for ourselves. The lobby looked worn and the front desk workers were less formal than what we experience at the hotels where we typically stay but they were also super friendly, patient and helpful. One happily showed us a room. The furniture and bed cover looked dated but the room was VERY clean...the cleanest room on our trip! (The linens were okay and the towels were good too.) But that view of the Mackinaw Bridge was what got us. It was stunning! We decided to stay. We were on the first floor. The family suites are on the third floor, so we avoided the second floor and the noise that might go with being beneath rooms full of kids running around. I'm happy to say our room was super quiet all night. Maybe we had great neighbors? I'm not sure, but I'll take it. The helpful front desk staff recommended a good restaurant for dinner. While the Super 8 is on the road on the edge of town, getting there only took minutes. After returning to the hotel, I sat on the deck until dusk. The golf course must spray for mosquitoes because I didn't get a single bite and I only saw sea gulls flying - no bugs! It was the perfect, quiet way to end a long day of driving and exploring. The next day, I skipped breakfast but my SO was surprised to find a few hot breakfast items were offered, not only pastries, cereal and toast. The front desk person talked us thru ferry options to the Island and called a shuttle for us, saving the $15 parking fee. Great customer service! The one and only thing that kept us from booking a second night was the mattresses in our room (111). I heard some rooms have new ones but we didn't get those the first night (old ones were SO soft) and couldn't be guaranteed we would get new ones the second night. That's it. Great deal for the money!

My son and I had a great time !! Room was clean pool was clean and warm and all staff were as friendly and inviting. Bridge view room was awesome !

The hotel as a whole was nice. Good size room, wonderful view of the bridge. There was hiccup in the breakfast room. The person in the room to keep an eye on things had a bit of a meltdown. Unprofessional for a few minutes. She managed to settle down by the time we left.

Less than amazing experience. We booked a room mid October - 1 King bed with a balcony. When we arrived we were told our room had been given to another guest. The gentleman behind the front desk explained that we did not follow the preferred booking process and that is why the room we reserved was no longer available. We were able to obtain a room for the night (2 queens and no balcony) at a discounted price. The room was satisfactory - the drive to St Ignas is 4.5 hours for us and we were looking forward to us sitting on the balcony to wind down our evening. I know, small potatoes. But also, why did we not receive the same room we were offered months ago, the one we booked?

Great location. Lakeview room had a perfect view of the Mackinac Bridge. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. The building was decorated for the season. Pool was clean. Hot tub worked. Continental breakfast was sufficient- offered hard boiled eggs, egg muffins, cold cereal, fruit, oatmeal, bagels, donuts, waffles, juice & coffee. Would definitely stay again.

The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The bed is super comfy! The staff made me feel welcome. I recommend this hotel it’s convenient to local attractions restaurants and shopping
